The diving site "The Cars" in Dauin is one of DDC's favorite spots for "Muck Diving" and finding macro life. "The Cars" delights enthusiasts of this type of diving and even the most discerning underwater photographers. It is an easy dive site, typically unaffected by strong currents, making it suitable for divers of all levels who want to enjoy this type of diving. The only condition is that if your certification is below Advanced Open Water, you won't be able to visit the sunken cars, which lie deeper than 18 meters.
We start by descending a moderately steep sandy slope, which is usually teeming with creatures such as ghost pipefish, robust ghost pipefish, hairy ghost pipefish, flamboyant cuttlefish, warted frogfish, hairy frogfish, seahorses, devil scorpionfish, etc. A wide variety of nudibranchs also inhabit the area, including Pikachu and Costasiella species. If you have the required certification, we continue descending to find the remains of two sunken cars between 26 and 30 meters, teeming with marine life.
NOTE: If you hold an Advanced Open Water certification or higher, we recommend doing two dives at this site to fully explore the area. Using Nitrox is also advised to maximize bottom time around the sunken cars.
If you don't currently hold these certifications, you can check our offers to obtain them and enjoy the wonderful diving site of "The Cars" in Dauin with DDC.
