At Luca Sanctuary dive site in Dauin, it's advisable to enter from the coast. As you venture into the sea, you often encounter turtles of all sizes feeding in shallow algae-covered areas.

Continuing your descent, you'll come across the large artificial reef, featuring cages, pyramids, and bells between 10 and 18 meters deep. If you have an Advanced Open Water certification or higher, you can also explore the remains of a wooden boat at approximately 26 meters, where you'll find a variety of fish such as groupers, snappers, lionfish, frogfish, scorpionfish, and more. Seeing blue-spotted rays is quite common at certain points during the dive.

The cages and other structures are adorned with both soft and hard corals, providing shelter for pufferfish, batfish, butterflyfish, and many others.

Luca Sanctuary is also highly recommended for macro enthusiasts, featuring ghost pipefish, peacock mantis shrimp, nudibranchs, and a wide variety of shrimp and crabs.
